UX Designer, Digital Artist, and Cat Mom
Nice to meet you! I’m Tyla, my pronouns are she/her, and I am a UX Designer. I grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and currently live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands where I am a UX Researcher and Designer at VIKTOR.
My journey to becoming a UX Designer has not been traditional or easy. My journey started in 2020 when I freelanced designing social media content and building no-code websites and I have slowly transitioned into UX Design. I now focus on creating meaningful experiences through thoughtful design. My design process is influenced by my background in digital design, no-code website building, and my flair creativity. These influences and my user-first approach to solutions have turned me into the designer I am today.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading mystery thriller books, working on passion projects, drawing on my iPad, and creating funky earrings.
I'm focused on creating meaningful experiences through thoughtful design.
My point of view, and a few thoughts on UX Design:
I care about the details and consider design perceivability and predictability to be crucial in creating effective, intuitive experiences. I like prototyping - it allows me to be creative and think through user interactions.
